Project Description

The North York Moors National Park

There is never a bad time to visit The North York Moors National Park, However the last 2 weeks of August and through into September sees the heather bloom which the National Park is most famous for.

The moors are only a 10 minute drive or train ride out of Whitby. They are simply stunning and well worth a visit if you have the time during your stay at Whitby.

The Esk valley Train line to Teesside is very beautiful, or stop at Grosmont and Catch the Vintage North York Moors Steam Train.
